Dollar Store Tray Turned to Chalk Board

I found these trays at the dollar store and ran across a blog that turned a wooden serving tray into a menu/chalk board. This is SO easy to make is SO incredibly cute. Not to mention it has a million different uses. You can use it as a menu or to leave family messages to each other, a to-do list, a shopping list and so much more.

Tape off the edges you do not want to have the chalkboard on.


Chalk Board Paint can be picked up from anywhere like Michaels or Hobby Lobby and even places like Lowes or Mernards.

You can add little decorative magnets and a cookbook holder stand can keep it upright. Lots of different uses for this fun, easy, and inexpensive craft.

What you'll need Large foam brush, white acrylic paint, wrapping-paper tubes, balloons, ribbon, 2-oz. paint or glue bottles, tape, cellophane, scissors Make it 1.
