Fun Birthday Party Ideas

Candy Land Theme   Balloon Pops Balloon Pops Turn basic balloons into freestanding lollipops. Wrap them in cellophane and add a wrapping paper tube stick, then position them around the room. What you'll need Large foam brush, white acrylic paint, wrapping-paper tubes, balloons, ribbon, 2-oz. paint or glue bottles, tape, cellophane, scissors Make it 1. Use the brush to apply two coats of paint to a tube; let dry. 2. Blow up a balloon, knot the end, and to the bottom attach a length of ribbon that is about 6" longer than the tube. 3. Tie the loose end of the ribbon to the paint or glue bottle (secure with tape if necessary) and drop it into the tube so that ribbon comes out the other end. 4. Cut the ribbon from the paint or glue bottle, pull it taut and tape it to the inside of the tube. (The top of the tube should cover the balloon knot.) 5. Brownie Pops

My son Logan, yes he was VERY excited to eat this. haha What you need: -Brownie Mix -Ingridents to make the brownies. (usually eggs, water, and oil) -Wiltons brownie pop silicon pan. ($3 at Michaels although they have them everywhere including Wal-Mart) -Sprinkles or whatever you want to decorate it with. -Melting chocolate. ( I used Wiltons Candy Melts) -Lolipop sticks (They have these in the baking section pretty much everywhere.) Follow the instructions on the box and fill the silicon brownie cups about 2/3 full Bake according to the box.  Mine took about 25 min. Five minuets before they are done insert the lolipop sticks otherwise you will have problems later. I have a picture to prove that disaster. Put them in the frezeer when they are done to cool them down quickly. Even after you take them out of the freezer I would leave them sitting out for about thirty min because if they aren't cooled all the way they won't turn out right. Melt the chocolate...

Dollar Store Tray Turned to Chalk Board

I found these trays at the dollar store and ran across a blog that turned a wooden serving tray into a menu/chalk board.  This is SO easy to make is SO incredibly cute.  Not to mention it has a million different  uses.  You can use it as a menu or to leave family messages to each other, a to-do list, a shopping list and so much more. Simple Dollar Store Tray Tape off the edges you do not want to have the chalkboard on. Chalk Board Paint can be picked up from anywhere like Michaels or Hobby Lobby and even places like Lowes or Mernards.  You can add little decorative magnets and a cookbook holder stand can keep it upright.  Lots of different uses for this fun, easy, and inexpensive craft.
