Father's Day Beer Mug

Supplies: 1 glass beer mug 1 large bag of butterscotch candies 10 large marshmallows cellophane and ribbon Instructions: Take glass beer mug (I bought one at Walmart for $2.87) fill 2/3 of the way up with the butterscotch candies ($1.00 at Walmart). Fill remaining area in mug and a little higher with marshmallows. Wrap in cellophane and wrap with ribbon. I left unwrapped so you could see detail.

Materials Towel (ours was 17 inches long and wide enough to wrap around a child's waist with 5 inches of overlap) Fusible bonding web (we used Stitch Witchery) Large yarn needle 1 (8-inch) piece of elastic 1 large button Fabric glue Decorations (lace, ribbon, or whatever you choose) Instructions Measure and cut a towel to fit your child, preserving 2 of the hemmed edges (ours were 17 inches long and wide enough to wrap around the kids' waists with 5 inches of overlap). Fold over each of the cut edges and seal them with fusible bonding web. For a fastener, use a large yarn needle to make 2 holes (about 1/4 inch apart) near one upper corner. Friendship Sticks and other Camp Crafts

Materials 6 sticks, two 18 inches long and four 14 inches long 1 or 2 skeins of variegated yarn Scissors Hand pruners (to cut sticks, a parent's job) Instructions Start by crossing the 2 longest sticks as shown above. Tie the loose end of the yarn around the intersection and wind it around several times to secure the sticks. Next, wrap the yarn around the closest stick, flush against the intersection. Now wrap it around the next closest stick. Continue in this manner, working your way toward the ends of the sticks until only about 3 inches remain exposed. Cut the yarn and knot the end around a stick. Kix on Stix and other fun Recipes

Ingredients 1/2  cup sugar 1/2  cup light corn syrup 1/2  cup peanut butter 3  cups Kix® cereal 20  raisins, miniature milk chocolate candy drops, small gumdrops, chocolate- or yogurt-covered raisins or miniature marshmallows 1  to 2 tablespoons multicolored candy sprinkles 20  thin pretzel sticks (2 1/4 inch) Directions In 3-quart saucepan, heat sugar and corn syrup to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until blended. Stir in cereal. Cool slightly, 2 to 3 minutes. Lightly butter hands. Shape 1 to 2 tablespoons cereal mixture into a ball around each candy. Immediately roll in candy sprinkles. Place pretzel stick into each cereal ball.
